Member Virtual Lecture
Marc Chagall at the Jewish Museum
May 4 from 3–4 pm ET
Curator Stephen Brown will discuss the work of renowned artist Marc Chagall. Le Père (1911), a portrait of Chagall’s father, is on view at the Jewish Museum (through January 2024) and provides the occasion to review the career of the artist considered by many as “the quintessential Jewish artist of the twentieth century.” This important loan offers us the opportunity to reconsider Chagall’s major contribution to the art of his times.
